That is great input, Christopher. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This is something that the City definitely needs to take action on.
Street signs
From "General Comments"

Most of the street signs in Noble are sun faded and are impossible to read. Have moved here three years ago and there are several streets that I still don't know because of the conditions of them.

@Christopher Clark ,@Teresa Fenner , and@Kevin Austin , signage is critical for traffic flow and safety, but many communities also use signage as a tool for beautification and economic development, allowing them to further several goals with one project. With that in mind, are there any other locations in Noble that you think would particularly benefit from upgraded signage?

@Emily Fitzsimmons I was mainly referring to downtown as that is where the city should be concentrating new businesses and trying to drive business to that area. Coming into town all the streetsigns are on one side then switch to being in the opposite side of the street. Unless you have the street you're turning on as your a destination you have no idea what street you driving past.

@Emily Fitzsimmons One thing that comes to mind is making it easier to ‘steer’ motorists to points of interest that’s not too overwhelming. As an example, the Public Library signage on Main Street steering people to it. That’s been up @ least 15-20 years. Just a simple directional to other attractions like parks, schools, ball fields, or government buildings. I know it’s different nowadays w/ smart cars, cellular (dumb) phones, etc but just a visual may help visitors enjoy our wonderful ‘lil city.

I totally agree, the ones by the school near the library that say something about one way direction. I know it is telling me something very important and I drive down those side roads frequently so I am sure I am breaking some kind of laws. But I absolutely cannot read those signs. We moved here 18 months ago

@Teresa Fenner The Noble Public Schools Campus PD is working in conjunction with the City on getting signs around the schools replaced & updated. We’re looking @ times of slower speeds to see if they can be adjusted & cut back on congestion during pickup/ drop off- maybe a flashing light solar programmable systems. The one ways can be confusing as well & we’ll work w/ traffic engineers to make it clearer.
