Thank you for sharing, Gina. Increasing mobility is definitely important as we plan for the future. The City was actually awarded a grant to construct a sidewalk along the north side of Etowah Road between 8th Street and 48th Street, and we are currently in the engineering stage. Afterwards, the sidewalk will be ready for construction and students will have a much safer route to walk to school.

Sidewalks are needed for walking to the high school. It would be even better to have sidewalks to all schools. Keep our students safe! Encourage walking and bike riding

It would be great to extend the sidewalk from 8th street to main street. There are kids that attend Pioneer that live on the west side of main street that can't walk or ride their bike to school. The traffic doesn't stop for them. Ive seen kids almost get hit by cars in the morning. It would be great to have a crosswalk stop light there for kids walking to school and some people walking to the convenient store on Ash and Main. Kind of like the lights they have on campus.

This!! We have needed sidewalks to the high school as well to all the school for a long time. Kids do walk and walking in the ditch on some days means wet shoes and pant cuffs. I would love to see our city encourage healthier habits.
